As the Bangladesh cricket team prepare for their two-Test and three-T20I series in India, one player who's confident about their chances is pacer Shoriful Islam. Despite India’s reputation of being nearly invincible at home, Shoriful believes Bangladesh can upset the hosts.

Though Shoriful will miss the Test series due to injury, he is training hard for the upcoming T20Is. After an impressive performance in the recent Pakistan series, Shoriful is optimistic that the Tigers can carry that momentum into the India series.

Speaking to the media in Mirpur, Shoriful said, "Insha’Allah, we will beat India. We have that belief. We’ve performed well against Pakistan, and we will try our best with that same hope to do well in India."

He also spoke highly of Bangladesh’s pace unit, praising their unity and form. "Alhamdulillah, we have a good pace attack. Even the ones who aren’t playing right now are in good shape. We performed well in Pakistan, and Insha’Allah, we’ll do the same in India. All our pacers are in great form, and that’s a positive sign for Bangladesh. The camaraderie between us pacers is strong. We spend a lot of time together, talk about the game, and our understanding is excellent. That’s key to our success,” he added.

On the subject of fitness, Shoriful expressed gratitude to the team’s support staff for their efforts. "Our fitness has definitely improved, thanks to the physios and trainers. They’ve worked really hard with us. We also push ourselves because we know better fitness means better performance. There’s a desire from within to keep improving,” he further said.
