The Waves, led by Shakib, have yet to secure their first win in the tournament, as the Gladiators chased down a daunting target with 7 balls to spare in Dallas.

Batting first, Los Angeles posted an imposing total of 126/3 in their allotted 10 overs. Shakib came to the crease with his team struggling at 49/3 but stabilized the innings alongside Tim David. Together, they forged a remarkable unbeaten partnership of 77 runs in just 4.5 overs.

While Shakib’s contribution was a steady 20* off 11 balls, including three boundaries and a six, it was David who stole the show. He smashed 51* off just 20 balls, hammering one four and seven sixes, setting a platform for what seemed like a match-winning total.

However, the Gladiators approached their chase with sheer determination. Led by James Fuller’s explosive 39* off 10 balls, Texas reached the target in 8.5 overs, with 4 wickets in hand.
