Amid uncertainties surrounding his participation in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Shakib Al Hasan has signed with the Dubai Giants for the upcoming Legends Cricket Trophy. The franchise confirmed Shakib’s inclusion through a post on their official Facebook page. If all goes as planned, the star all-rounder will don the Dubai jersey in this exciting seven-team tournament.

Shakib Al Hasan’s presence in Bangladesh remains uncertain. The cricketer missed the farewell Test against South Africa due to the tense political situation in the country. Since the government's fall, Shakib has not returned to Bangladesh, fueling doubts about his future with the national team.

To compound matters, both Shakib and his wife Umme Ahmed Shishir’s bank accounts were recently frozen. Additionally, the all-rounder has faced a suspension from bowling due to issues with his bowling action. Despite Chittagong Kings acquiring him for the BPL, his participation in the league seems unlikely unless he returns to Bangladesh.
