Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of the ICC ODI World Cup due to a finger injury. As a result, he will miss Bangladesh’s last match against Australia. Despite being knocked out of the World Cup, the last match is very important for Bangladesh to qualify for the Champions Trophy 2025.

Shakib contributed significantly to the team's victory in the Sri Lanka match. In addition to taking 2 wickets with the ball, he played a brilliant innings of 82 runs off 65 balls with the bat. Bangladesh is definitely going to suffer without their captain in the last match.
In the absence of Shakib, Bangladesh will take the field against Australia under the leadership of vice-captain Najmul Hossain Shanto. However, no one has been called as a replacement for Shakib.
