Former Indian wicketkeeper Saba Karim spoke highly of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma after the conclusion of the second Test match between West Indies and Team India at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad. Rohit Sharma impressed the former Indian wicketkeeper with his leadership qualities.

Team India began their third edition of the ICC World Test Championship on a winning note. They won the first Test by an innings and 141 runs and drew first blood in the series. Even the second Test match was going in slightly in favour of the Indians but the rain played spoilsport on Day 5.
Rightly so, the second Test match ended in a draw. However, India won the series by 1-0. Mohammed Siraj was named the Player of the Match for his 5/60 in the first innings of the Trinidad Test. Siraj became only the second Indian fast bowler after Kapil Dev to take a fifer against the Caribbeans at the Port of Spain.
Meanwhile, Saba Karim was immensely impressed with the way Rohit Sharma went about his work as captain and batsman. He not only led the team ever so well but also scored runs for the team throughout the series.
Rohit Sharma finished the Test series as the second-leading run-scorer with 240 runs at an impeccable batting average of 80 including 1 century and 2 half-centuries. Under his captaincy, Team India kick-started the third edition of the World Test Championship with a 1-0 Test series win over West Indies.
"In the first Test, the wicket was not easy to bat and Rohit got a hundred. Some of his decisions, bringing Ishan Kishan in the mix and all showed that Rohit wants to win this time around. But I would go with Rohit because this was a fresh WTC cycle and he had to lead from the front. The intensity and the aggression he showed sent a strong message to the rest of the side that this is the way you want to take it forward," Saba Karim added.
Team India will lock horns with the West Indies in the first of the three-match ODI series, slated to be held on July 27, Thursday at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.
