Razzak says leg-spinners should be given opportunities according to the needs of the team. “The leg spinner has to come by himself. I can't make a leg spinner or you can't make a leg spinner. But a team has requirements. Every team wants to be a champion. The management of the team works with the players who will be good, will work, who will be beneficial for the team, who will be needed to take a win.
“Now if it is pushed from the cricket board that leg-spinners will have to be played. Then the quality of cricket should be a problem. So that should not be happened anymore.”
There’s always a controversy about leg-spinners like Aminul Islam Biplob, Jubair Hossain Likhon etc are not getting proper opportunities in the team. Razzak thinks that proper work should be done with the newcomers to make them worthy for the team.
“Since we feel the lacking in it. It was never like that our leg-spinners had played continuously well in the national team. You have to start with the newcomers. If anyone wants to play in the national team or any team, such a player has to come, if such player isn’t there, we can’t take one,” Razzak said.
