Ex-Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been made team director of the Quetta Gladiators for the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL 10). This was confirmed by franchise owner Nadeem Umar.

Interestingly enough, Sarfaraz Ahmed was dropped by the Quetta Gladiators for the first time before the 10th edition of the PSL draft. Although he had taken the team to a PSL title previously, he was drafted in the 10th edition but failed to remain with any franchise.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, a former captain of the Quetta Gladiators, has been the backbone of the Quetta Gladiators since 2016 when the league was first established.

With him at the helm, the team achieved three finals between 2016 and 2019, establishing itself as one of the most consistent teams of the PSL.

Even though Sarfaraz Ahmed has had less time on the field in recent times, his experience and tactical wisdom are still worth their weight in gold to the Quetta Gladiators.

"I am delighted to announce the appointment of Sarfaraz Ahmed as Team Director of the Quetta Gladiators today," said Nadeem Umar. He expressed confidence that Sarfaraz will contribute to the team's success in his new role.

Umar also emphasized the Gladiators' leadership, highlighting the combination of Sarfaraz as Team Director and former captain Moin Khan as Head Coach. He believes this duo will play a crucial role in revitalizing the franchise and positioning it for future success.
