With just hours remaining for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) players' draft, the anticipation is high. Given the schedule clash with the IPL, PSL franchises may look towards Bangladeshi players this season. Over 36 Bangladeshi cricketers have entered the draft, spread across four categories.

Whether these players will secure contracts is yet to be seen. However, let’s explore how much they could earn if picked by a PSL team.

Platinum Category

Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman headline the Platinum category, where players can earn between $130,000 to $150,000. In Pakistani rupees, this translates to around 40 million, while in Bangladeshi taka, it amounts to over 12.5 million.

Diamond Category

Hassan Mahmud, Rishad Hossain, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Taskin Ahmed, and Towhid Hridoy fall into the Diamond category. Players in this tier receive approximately $85,000 or 20 million Pakistani rupees, equivalent to around 9 million Bangladeshi taka.

Gold Category

Eleven Bangladeshi cricketers, including Litton Das, Mahedi Hasan, Mahmudullah Riyad, and Mosaddek Hossain, are in the Gold category. Their salaries are $50,000 or around 14 million Pakistani rupees, which equals roughly 6 million Bangladeshi taka.

Silver Category

The largest group of Bangladeshi players, 21 in total, are listed in the Silver category. These players can earn $25,000 or 7 million Pakistani rupees, amounting to just over 3 million Bangladeshi taka.

Prominent names in this category include Afif Hossain, Akbar Ali, Nasum Ahmed, and Yasir Ali.
