Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket League (DPL) starts from Thursday (May 25). This time, the tournament is playing in the field in a very organized manner. The prize money is also huge, where the champion team will get BDT 1  lakh as a reward. Besides, the runner-up team will get BDT 75000.

Besides, the best performer will get BDT 5000 in every match. The tournament's highest wicket- taker, highest run-scorer and best emerging player will get BDT 15000.

Women's Premier League will be held in four fields of three venues in Dhaka. Apart from the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, the famous 'Home of Cricket', Ground No. 1 and No. 3 of Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) will be used for the Premier League. Besides, Fatullah's Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium will be used.

The opening day of the tournament will see defending champions Mohammedan Sporting Club and Kala Bagan Krira Chakra face off at BKSP Ground No.3. The other two matches of the day will see Rupali Bank Krira Parishad vs Gulshan Youth Club and BKSP vs City Club.

But in the beginning there was uncertainty about the participation of the teams. Although the tournament was supposed to be held with 11 teams, Ajax Sporting Cluband Sheikh Russell withdrew from the tournament at the last moment.
