Varun Chakravarthy Vinod (born 29 August 1991, Varun Chakravarthy age 30 Years) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket and Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a leg spin bowler. He made his international debut for the Indian cricket team in July 2021.

Early Life
Chakravarthy was born on August 29, 1991 in Bidar, Karnataka. He completed his schooling in Chennai, at Kendriya Vidyalaya CLRI and then at St Patrick's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School where he played cricket. He earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from SRM University. At the age of 25 he left his job as an architect to pursue cricket professionally.
Career
He made his List A debut for Tamil Nadu at the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 20 September 2018. He was the leading wicket-taker for Tamil Nadu at the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy with twenty-two layoffs in nine games. He made his first-class debut for Tamil Nadu at the 2018/19 Ranji Trophy on November 12, 2018.
Varun Chakravarthy IPL In December 2018 he was bought by Kings XI Punjab at the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL) player auction for a price of 8.4 crores. On March 27, 2019, he made his Twenty20 debut for the team. His first over went for 25 runs, the most runs conceded by a bowler debuting in the IPL. He was released by Kings XI Punjab ahead of the 2020 IPL auction. At the 2020 IPL auction, he was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the 2020 Indian Premier League. On October 24, 2020 he took his first five wicket draw in the IPL with numbers of 5 wickets for 20 runs against the Delhi Capitals in Abu Dhabi. He was the Kolkata Knight Riders' highest wicket-taker at the 2021 IPL tournament.
In October 2020, he was called up to India's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for his series against Australia. However, on November 9, 2020, Chakravarthy was left out of the squad after suffering an injury. In February 2021 he was called up to India's T20I squad for his series against England.
In June 2021, he was called up to India's One Day International (ODI) and T20I squads for their series against Sri Lanka. He made his T20I debut for India against Sri Lanka on 25 July 2021, taking the wicket from Dasun Shanaka. In September 2021, Chakravarthy was named to India's squad for the 2021 ICC T20 Men's World Championship.
Varun Chakravarthy IPL 2022 In February 2022, he was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders at auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League Tournament.
Personal Life
Chakravarthy also had a cameo in the 2014 Indo-Tamil language sports drama Jeeva as a club cricketer.
Varun Chakravarthy Wife On December 11, 2020, he married his longtime girlfriend Neha Khedekar in a closed ceremony in Chennai.
On May 3, 2021, Chakravarthy tested positive for COVID-19 alongside fellow Kolkata Knight Riders teammate Sandeep Warrier. As a result, the game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore was abandoned. Ultimately, the tournament was suspended.
