Deepak Lokendrasingh Chahar (born 7 August 1992 Deepak Chahar Age 29 years) is an Indian international cricketer. He is a mid-paced right-arm bowler and lower-middle-class batsman who plays for Rajasthan in domestic cricket and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.

He was the first Indian male cricketer to score a hat-trick in a Twenty20 International (T20I) match. In January 2020, Chahar was awarded the T20I performance of the year by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after winning six wickets for seven runs against Bangladesh.
Early Life and Family
Chahar was born in 1992 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. His father, Lokendra Singh Chahar, retired from the Indian Air Force and his mother, Pushpa Chahar, is a homemaker. He has an older sibling, Malti Chahar, a Bollywood film actress.

Domestic Career
Chahar took eight wickets for 10 runs (8/10) in his first-class cricket debut at the 2010–11 Ranji Trophy. Hyderabad was ejected for just 21 runs, the lowest total in Ranji Trophy history. Chahar's swing bowling soon earned him a youth contract with Rising Pune Supergiants, an Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket franchise. In October 2016 he worked with international trainers Ian Pont and Catherine Dalton in Jaipur as part of the development camp in Rajasthan.
In January 2018 he was bought by Chennai Super Kings at the 2018 IPL Auction. In October 2018 he was named to India B's squad for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy. In February 2022, he was bought by the Chennai Super Kings at auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League Tournament.
International Career
In May 2018 he was called up to India's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the team's tour of England. He made his T20I debut on 8 July 2018, taking one wicket. He made his One Day International debut in September 2018 during the 2018 Asian Cup against Afghanistan.
Selected in India's Twenty20 squad against West Indies in 2019, he played in the final game of the series and won the Player of the Match award after skinning three wickets for four runs. He was then selected for the three-game T20I series against Bangladesh. In the final game of the series, he took the top bowling figures in the men's T20Is, with six wickets for seven runs of 3.2 overs. During the series he also picked up a bowler's first hat-trick for India in T20Is and his first five-wicket haul in T20Is.

Chahar ended the match with the figures of 6-7 and he surpassed Sri Lanka's Ajantha Mendis to create the record. He achieved the feat in the final T20I of the three-match series against Bangladesh at the Vidharba Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on November 10, 2019.
In July 2021, D Chahar achieved his first ODI result in half a century and was named as one of three reserves in India's squad for the 2021 ICC T20 World Men's Championship in September. On January 23, 2022 he played his 2nd half century in ODIs against South Africa.
