Oman win T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier final

Oman and Nepal have already qualified for the 2024 T20 World Cup from the Asia region. The final match of the qualifiers was full of excitement. There, Oman became the champion after defeating Nepal in the Super Over.
Nepal won the toss and elected to bat first at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Opener Kushal Bhurtel gave the team a good start. He played a brilliant innings of 31 runs off 22 balls.
Later, team captain Rohit Paudel and Gulshan Jha hit fifties. Rohit was unbeaten after playing a brilliant innings of 52 runs off 37 balls. On the other hand, Gulshan played an explosive innings of 54 runs off 25 balls. Karan KC played a cameo innings of 20 runs off 6 balls at the end. At the end of the scheduled 20 over game, Nepal lost 6 wickets and collected 184 runs.
Bilal Khan took 3 wickets for Oman. Besides, Aqib Ilyas got 2 wickets.
In response, opener Kashyap Prajapati gave Oman a good start. Apart from this, Aqib Ilyas, Zeeshan Maqsood were also very fluent with the bat. Akib scored 33 runs off 19 balls. On the other hand, Zeeshan played an innings of 26 runs off 18 balls. Opener Prajapati hit a brilliant fifty and scored 63 runs off 52 balls.
In the end, Oman needed 8 runs to win in the very last over. They had 4 wickets in hand. Mohammad Nadeem was in rhythm at the crease. However, Oman took 7 runs from that over after losing 2 wickets. The match was tied. Nadeem was unbeaten with 24 runs off 9 balls.
Later the match went to super over. Oman scored 21 runs in the super over, Naseem Khushi who failed in the main match hit 3 sixes. In reply, Nepal scored 10 runs. As a result, Oman won.
