Durbar Rajshahi beat Sylhet Strikers by five wickets on Monday (January 27) at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Four wicket-haul from SM Meherob and a three wicket-haul from Mrittunjoy Chowdhury reduced Sylhet Strikers to a paltry 117 runs. In reply, Akbar Ali's 43 and an unbeaten 48* off 34 deliveries helped Rajshahi get five wickets victory.

Ryan Burl and Akbar Ali stitched 75-run stand to hand Durbar Rajshahi a fine victory over Sylhet Strikers to keep their hole alive for playoffs. Being inserted to bat first, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury ran through the top order removing Samiullah Shinwari and Ariful Haque cheaply. Aftab Alam had Sajjadul Haque for a five-ball duck. Zakir Hasan, however, played a gutsy knock of 24 off 25 deliveries. Also Ahsan Bhatti scored 25 off 21 deliveries as Sylhet Strikers managed to get 117 runs on the board.

SM Meherob picked up four wickets to his name, while SM Meherob had three wickets to his name to reduce Sylhet Strikers to a paltry 117 runs.

In reply, Tanzim Hasan Sakib ran riot earlier on as he removed Sabbir Hossain and Anamul Haque for ducks consecutively. Jon-Russ Jaggesar then had Jishan Alam and Yasir Ali cheaply as Durbar Rajshahi soon fell to 22-4.

Wicketkeeper batter Akbar Ali and Ryan Burl forged a game changing partnership of 75 runs off 63 deliveries. Akbar fell to Ahsan Bhatti on 43 off 38 deliveries. While Ryan Burl remained unbeaten on 48* off just 34 deliveries to help his side get a fine victory of five wickets.
