Bangladesh have rewritten history on Pakistani soil. After 13 previous encounters without a win, Bangladesh triumphed emphatically in the 14th and 15th matches. The same scenario stands with India, where Bangladesh have yet to win after 13 meetings. But this time, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and his team are eager to change that record.
Miraz, the architect behind Bangladesh’s 2-0 series win against Pakistan, was named Player of the Series. As the team gears up for the upcoming series against India, Miraz is ready to embrace the new challenge and is satisfied with the team's preparations.
Miraz said, "Every series is challenging. Since we performed well in the Pakistan series, and there isn't much gap between the series, we are in good form. If everyone stays in good form in India, we can expect something positive."
Focusing fully on Test cricket, Miraz added, "Look, Test cricket is always challenging. Every session, every ball is a challenge. India is, of course, a strong team. Their bowlers are very good, and their batsmen are excellent as well. We have played on their wickets before, so we have experience with the conditions. I think the wicket will be quite good there."
Instead of fixating on the results, Miraz aims to focus on the fight. He further said, "If we stick to our game plan, perform without worrying about the results, we will see good outcomes. We have played Tests in India before, and our past performances weren’t good. This time, we are going with expectations. We’ll try to enjoy their expectations and give our best. When we fight against them, we will have the opportunity to perform well. Our goal is to put up a good fight against India."
