As the match fixing saga keep rolling in Al Jazeera documentaries, more are in exhibition to claim further details.

In May 2018, Al Jazeera released their first documentary entitling 'Cricket's match-fixers.' And in their second documentary released very recently, more controversies have been evoked when the acclaimed television channel blacklisted a total of 15 international matches that took place in the season of 2011 – 2012 in which, according to their revelation were victims of spot fixing. Whereby they showcased an old picture where India's incumbent skipper, Virat Kohli, his deputy in white-ball cricket, Rohit Sharma, and Pakistani middle-order batsman, Umar Akmal were seen in photos with Aneel Munawar, who is alleged to be a big-time match-fixer. But Pakistani skipper Sarfraz Ahmed made the advanced steps, voiced his opinion against such manifestations and defended his country man as well the arch rival opposition stars.

"If someone comes to you to take a photograph with them and later it is found that this person is corrupt, then it's not the fault of the player to be in a picture with him," said Sarfraz while talking in UAE.

After the second documentary was released, the general manager of ICC's anti-corruption unit said that "We will again take the contents of the program and any allegations it may make seriously and will investigate fully." Since the revelation of Al Jazeera documentaries on alleged match fixing scandals in international cricket, the highest authority of world cricket, International Cricket Council (ICC) has taken major steps to eradicate corruption that is ruining the game's reputation.
