Yashasvi Jaiswal does not want the pressure of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to weigh on him or his opening partner Shubman Gill.

Jaiswal stunned Zimbabwe with an innings of 93* on Saturday (July 13) which gave India an easy win by 10 wickets in the fourth T20I. With almost five overs remaining at the Harare Sports Club, he helped India to a 3-1 lead in the series. He shared an unbroken 156-run partnership with skipper and opening pair Gill.

Regarding the legacy that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have left for the Indian team, Jaiswal expressed his gratitude for having shared a dressing room with both players. Not long after winning the T20 World Cup in Barbados, both Rohit and Kohli declared their retirement from T20 international cricket.

“I think what they have done for Indian cricket is just incredible, and being a part of that dressing room is a blessing. We (him and Gill) are trying to take it match-by-match and one day at a time, focusing on the process,” Jaiswal said.

India have won the series with the win as they are leading the series by 3-1. The last match of the series is on July 14.
