New Zealand have announced squad for the ODI series against Pakistan, which begins from Saturday (March 29) in Napier. Nick Kelly and Muhammad Abbas have earned their maiden call-ups for the Kiwis.

Kelly has been impressive throughout the all three formats in the 2024-2025 domestic season. He has scored 1,307 runs across all three formats during the time span, including his fifth List A century.

Kelly also was the leading run-scorer in this season’s Plunket Shield with 749 runs, including four centuries.

Abbas had a memorable Ford Trophy campaign, as he piled up 340 runs at an average of 42.50 and registered his maiden List A century.

Kane Williamson wasn’t considered for selection after making himself unavailable. While speedster Matt Henry was ruled out of ODI series as he continues to recover from his right-shoulder and left-knee injury what he sustained during the semifinal of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against South Africa.

In the absence of regular skipper Mitchell Santner, Tom Latham will lead the Kiwis.
