Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal has expressed concerns over recent comments made by fast bowler Naseem Shah ahead of the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. Naseem, speaking to the media, acknowledged the team's recent struggles and emphasized the need for players to unite and improve their performance.

"Yes, our comeback wasn't great, and we can't deny that we didn't play good cricket. Criticism is part of it, and we must endure it until things improve. This is a good chance to bounce back, play better, and show up as a team," Naseem stated.

However, Kamran Akmal found Naseem’s remarks troubling, questioning whether the team had previously played with unity. He suggested that such statements often surface when there are underlying issues within the team. Akmal urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the team management to address these concerns promptly.

"What does it mean? Didn't the team play with unity before? Such things are said in the media when there are issues within the team. The team management and PCB should address this matter swiftly," Akmal remarked on his YouTube channel.

He further stressed the importance of unity and hard work as Pakistan prepares for the Test series against Bangladesh. Akmal believes that the series presents a golden opportunity for Pakistan to bounce back, especially after their recent struggles, including a disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Pakistan will face Bangladesh in the first Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on August 21, with the second Test scheduled for August 30 in Karachi. The series will be crucial for Pakistan as they aim to regain their form and deliver a strong performance in the ICC World Test Championship.
