Sandeep Sharma drew plaudits for his exceptional effort as he had his eyes on the ball and grabbed it in both hands. The video clip of the same has gone viral on the internet.

Talking about the game, Rajasthan Royals posted 212/7 in their quota of 20 overs. Yashasvi Jaiswal led the batting attack by example as he smashed his career-best 124 off 62 balls where he struck 16 fours and 8 sixes to his name.

In response, Mumbai Indians chased down the target with three balls to spare. Tim David hit the winning runs for Mumbai Indians as he hammered three straight sixes off Jason Holder in the 20th over and guided Mumbai Indians to a surreal win.

Tim David, at the post-match presentation said: "We needed a result. It is an amazing feeling, there's no better feeling than playing at the Wankhede. For our confidence.. We have not played our best cricket in the last few games, so this feels good. It felt everyone (bowler) had to be targeted, good batting conditions and personally I wanted to do something like this for a while. It was sweaty, I was trying to get down the pitch and cut the angle. Any time the bowlers missed the yorker then you were in with a chance."
