Fast bowler Ihsanullah signed with Peshawar Zalmi for the tenth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL X), the franchise announced on Friday.
Fast bowler Ihsanullah has officially become a part of the squad of Peshawar Zalmi for the upcoming tenth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 10).
The fast bowler was picked via the by-election process. Team chairman Javed Afridi warmly welcomed the young pacer, stating, "We are pleased to welcome Ihsanullah to the Zalmi family. His ability and dedication are a great match with our vision for the season."
Director of Cricket Mohammad Akram revealed that the franchise has been in touch with Ihsanullah for two months.
"Ihsanullah has been with us and is always in touch. He is a gem of Pakistan, and we will keep backing him," Akram said.
Ihsanullah, who made headlines during PSL 8 with his over 150 km/h delivery and 22 wickets, has been under rehabilitation since having elbow surgery last year. His selection as a reserve pick highlights Zalmi's plan to bolster its pace attack before the tournament.
Audiences have been eagerly anticipating Ihsanullah's comeback, and his combination with Zalmi's star-studded squad can be instrumental in the hunt for a second PSL championship. The league begins in February 2024.
