De Swardt makes his domestic debut in 2018 for Northerns and after that he has been an important part of the side with his outstanding performance. He was the leading run-scorer in the 2019–20 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge, with 426 runs in seven matches.
Recently he signed for Dolphins and from next season he’s ready to take Dolphin’s jersey from Northern’s jersey. He believes that signing for Dolphins will be a totally new challenge for him and from this side he wants to make his mark on South African franchise cricket.
“I am eager to begin my life down in Durban despite the fact that isn’t a place that I am too acquainted with. I invested a touch of time down with the folks half a month back and I truly delighted in the set-up. It was an environment where you work really hard but when you are away from cricket it is a very relaxed place. The guys were very welcoming and that is constantly a decent indication of an upbeat set-up,” De Swardt said.
De Swardt has a very noteworthy semi-professional level career till now as he averages 55 in first-class cricket and 88 in List ‘A’ cricket. Though the left-handed batsman enjoys batting in the middle, he wants to bowl some overs too like Ben Stokes does for
