Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Khaled Mahmud Sujon said that he does not see the end of Mahmudullah Riyad's career now. He said that opportunities may come for this experienced batter.

Sujon is very close to Riyad. Riyad's exclusion from the Asia Cup squad is now the main topic of discussion. Many have seen the end of his career.

However, Sujon says something different. He sees Riyad as a ‘fighter’. Also, Sujon thinks that the opportunity to wear the jersey of the national team may come in front of him in the future.

“I wouldn't say right now that I see the end of Riyad. Riyad is still a fighter. For team combination or whatever reason, there is nothing to break down. It is true that Riyad is also getting old. I still believe the way Riyad fights, tries - it's not fair to say it's over,” Sujon said.

He added, “Opportunities may come again. Riyad is a contracted cricketer of BCB. So I hope Riyad keeps that sportsman spirit and fights with himself. I think the biggest battle is to fight with yourself.”
