Pakistan Super League (PSL) is gearing up for its 10th season. As announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the replacement draft will be organized before the event on Monday.

The reserve draft will be conducted replacement draft on Monday night, with the franchises replacing partially five unavailable players for some matches, the Cricket Board said.

The six-team tournament will feature 34 matches in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, with the season ending on May 18 with the grand final at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The PCB had announced a reserve draft before the season.

Five cricketers not available for a few matches will be replaced partly by their respective teams. Peshawar Zalmi will replace Nahid Rana (Gold Category) and Karachi Kings will pick a replacement for Litton Das (Silver Category).

South African Rassie van der Dussen, picked by Islamabad United in the Supplementary category, and the New Zealand pair Mark Chapman and Kane Williamson, picked in the Platinum and Supplementary categories respectively, will also miss a few games for Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings.

Zalmi, on the other hand, will choose a replacement for South African fast-bowling all-rounder Corbin Bosch, who jumped to the moneyed 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the eleventh hour – an action that questioned his allegiance to the PSL and apparently annoyed senior PCB officials.

The move was contentious, and the PCB sued Bosch for contract breach. Bosch, in defense, listed financial security and long-term career opportunities as reasons for the transfer.

The much-awaited 10th edition of the PSL is about to begin on Friday, April 11. Last year's champions Islamabad United will play two-time title winners Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

There would be a friendly match on April 8 in Peshawar as well. The teams playing the friendly match will be announced later.

The Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will be the venue for eleven matches, with the first qualifier on May 13. The National Bank Stadium in Karachi and the Multan Cricket Stadium will host five matches each.

There are three double-header matches in the tournament: two on Saturdays and one on Labor Day (May 1).
