There were double headers in FairBreak invitational T20 tournament. In the first encounter Falcons women won by 9 wickets with 39 balls remaining. While in the second match Spirit Women needed a freak show to come up stronger against Tornadoes.

Sapphires women batted first and made 131 runs on the board. Opener Gaby Lewis scored 20. While Dutch WK batter De Leede got a duck. Skipper Sana Mir scored only 9 off 12. Kary Chan kept the truck loading and made 32 off 29 balls. But it was Shabnim Ismail's innings which breached 120 mark barrier. Ismail scored a quick-fire 26 off 18.

Chasing, 132 captain Suzie Bates gave Falcons a flying start. She made 42 off only 30 balls while Lankan batter Chamari Athapaththu was the star of this chase. She made a fantastic 75 off only 44 balls to take Falcons home. He smoked 6 sixes and 7 boundaries. Chamari was named as the player of the match for her match winning knock.

In the second encounter, Tornadoes women got a huge total of 150/4 in their hutch. Their openers together made 44 run partnership. But their skipper, the Windies star batter Stafanie Taylor was at her best today. She made a magnificent 61 off 48 balls. She hit 10 boundaries in her fluent knock.

Chasing the total, Spirit women had a sedate start. But Natthakan did see the new ball storm properly. At one point it seemed Spirit will lose the match by a huge margin. But their captain and Aussie star Nicola Carey came as deity for them. She smoked everything that came towards her. She made a freak innings of 84 off only 28 balls to bail Spirit out of hole. She bludgeoned 7 sixes with 7 boundaries. Hence, with the help of Carey knock Spirit won the match 6 wickets and 26 balls in hand. Nicola Carey was named as the player of the match for her match winning start.
