In the second Test, Bangladesh’s bowlers, particularly Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana, dismantled the Pakistani batting lineup, dismissing them for just 172 runs in the second innings. The chase was anchored by vital contributions from Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mominul Haque, and the experienced duo of Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim, leading to a comfortable win and the series whitewash.
Professor Yunus announced that the Bangladesh cricket team would be honored with a reception upon their return home, underscoring the significance of this historic achievement.
The series victory comes at a time when the nation has faced significant challenges, including recent floods and social unrest. Yunus's words and the team's triumph offer a much-needed boost to the country’s morale, highlighting the unifying power of sports.
