Mumbai Indians have thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets on Wednesday (April 23). Trent Boult's sensational spell of four wickets restricted the SRH to a modest total of 143 runs. In response, Rohit Sharma slammed a superb 70 off just 46 deliveries to hand MI a thrashing victory.
Rohit Sharma blasted 70 off 46 deliveries in response to Sunrisers Hyderabad's 143 and helping his side get a thrashing victory. Being asked to bat first, Trent Boult ran riot with the new ball, dismantling the dangerous top order of Sunrisers Hyderabad and getting rid off both the openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma cheaply.
And then Deepak Chahar was introduced and he too shone with another back-to-back wickets, removing Ishan Kishan and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Wicketkeeper batter Heinrich Klaasen then partnered up with Abhinav Manohar as the duo stitched a crucial 99-run stand together to steady the ship for SRH.
Heinrich Klaasen blasted 71 off 44 balls and helped his side get a modest total of 143 runs.
In reply, Jaydev Unadkat removed Ryan Rickelton earlier on as MI stumbled. But Rohit Sharma and Will Jacks handled the initial blow and added 64 runs between them before the fall of Jacks after his 22 off 19 balls. Suryakumar Yadav came in and he too joined the party with Rohit, adding another 50-run stand which snatched the game away from Sunrisers Hyderabad. Rohit Sharma made a fantastic knock of 70 off 46 deliveries, whereas Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 40* off 19 balls, helping his side get a thrashing victory.
