England Women's have crashed Scotland Women's by 10 wickets on Sunday (October 13). Maia Bouchier's whirlwind 62* off 34 deliveries and Wyatt-Hodge's swashbuckling 51* off 26 balls helped England chase down Scotland's measly total of 113 runs inside only 10 overs.
Maia Bouchier and Wyatt-Hodge stitched a record-breaking 113* run stand off just 10 overs to crash Scotland.
Opting to bat first, Scotland had a horrible start as opener Saskia Horley took 23 balls to score only 13 runs. Wicketkeeper batter Sarah Bryce, however, played a gutsy knock of 27 off 31 balls before falling to Sophie Ecclestone.
Captain Katherine Bryce played the best knock of Scotland's innings, as she made a brilliant 33 off 28 balls before being knocked over to Charlie Dean. Other batters couldn’t provide anything and departed without scoring any and Scotland managed to get just 109 on the board.
In reply, England have stamped their authority with every possible way. The openers Maia Bouchier and Wyatt-Hodge played attacking Cricket from the word-go. The former one was dropped early but there was no looking back since then. Both the openers found the gaps to pure perfection and hammered the Scottish bowlers ins and outs.
Bouchier brought up her fifty off just 30 balls and then Wyatt-Hodge followed her as she took only 26 balls to reach to the landmark. Both of them steered their team to the shores with 10 overs to spare and 10 wickets in hands. With the thumping victory over Scotland, England are the table toppers of Group B.
