Bangladesh A team is going to tour Pakistan. During the tour, they will play three one-day matches and two four-day matches against the Pakistan A team. In four-day matches, the team will be led by Anamul Haque Bijoy. In one-day matches, Towhid Hridoy will be viewed as the captain.

The regular faces of the national team like Mushfiqur Rahim, Mominul Haque are in the squad for the first four-day match. Also, the squad for the remaining four-day matches and one-day matches also includes a number of cricketers who have played in the national team and are around the national team. The captain of the four-day match, Bijoy wants to play good cricket on the tour of Pakistan to cement his place in the national team.

Speaking to the media in Mirpur, Bijoy said, “Of course, I have been saying since my childhood that I love Test cricket. I try to play first-class cricket with my 100%. My record also says so. Those who are in the national team also said that these two matches is a good opportunity for me. If you use the opportunity here, you will get a chance in the national team. If I get a chance in the national team, I will try to play for the Bangladesh national team for a long time. That was my goal, is the goal and will be the goal in the future.”

Bijoy wants transparency in the selection process in the national team, “In fact, it is important to have crystal clear. Why am I missing out, where am I playing, what am I playing or not playing. As far as I'm getting these must be there. We want the question to go away, we get the answer. I think the cricket board has tried their best to help us. InshaAllah whoever will come in charge will also cooperate. We hope that we will move forward by filling the gaps.”

Bijoy also gives an opinion about working from the grassroots for the improvement of cricket, “Actually, I don't want to talk or I couldn’t- this is not the case. I think it is very important to stay in the present. Cricket is not just about the words of an individual. There will be many senior people here, there will be many people below. If we want to improve cricket, we have to start from the grass root level, we get the result in the national team. Strengthening the root level is more important. May be selection, may be pitches, may be medical, may be financial, may be facilities, I think it is important to work here. I think it is important to have grassroots cricket. We actually play Dhaka based or Mirpur based cricket. It is important to increase these facilities in the district. I think it is important to work from the grassroots.”

In response to the question whether he has ever faced discrimination while playing in the national team, Bijoy further said, “Actually, it will continue to happen. You can't even say it didn't happen to you. But we expect it to decrease in the future. When the time comes for me to take over, may we live up to it. Or if we get a chance to speak, it is very important that we do it from our own place.”
