Bangladesh cricketer Al-Amin Hossain granted bail in domestic abuse allegation
Earlier on September 7, Al-Amin's wife Israt Jahan filed the case in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin's court. The court issued a summons to Al-Amin to appear before the court during the hearing of the case. According to the case, Israt Jahan and Al-Amin were married on December 26, 2012 according to Islamic Shariah.

Recently, Bangladesh pacer Al-Amin Hossain’s wife Israt Jahan filed a domestic abuse case against Al-Amin. On Tuesday, Al-Amin surrendered to the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s court and applied for bail through a lawyer. After the hearing, the judge granted his bail till October 6 on a surety of Tk 5,000.
Earlier on September 7, Al-Amin's wife Israt Jahan filed the case in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin's court. The court issued a summons to Al-Amin to appear before the court during the hearing of the case. According to the case, Israt Jahan and Al-Amin were married on December 26, 2012 according to Islamic Shariah. They have two sons. The elder son is studying KG in Mirpur Cantonment Public School and College in English version.
For quite some time, Al-Amin does not support his wife and children and avoids even looking for them. Last September 3, Al-Amin told through his mother that he would not stay with Israt and would not support the children. If necessary, he would give divorce to his wife by throwing her out of the house. It is also mentioned in the statement of the case that he did this due to dowry.
Al-Amin said that he would take his wife and children out of the house and get married elsewhere. For two years the accused did not inquire about the plaintiff and did not stay at home regularly. Due to which Israt filed this case demanding monthly maintenance along with the right to live peacefully in the homestead along with her two children. It is mentioned in the case that his wife has the right to receive Tk40,000 for living, maintenance of two children and Tk60,000 per month for children’s education in English medium.
Earlier on August 25, Al-Amin came to his house around 10:30 pm and demanded Tk. 2 million for dowry from his wife. When Israt Jahan refused to pay the money, Al-Amin kicked her and injured her in different parts of his body. Israt Jahan called 999 for help and the police came and rescued her. Later Israt Jahan was treated at Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital. A case was also filed in Mirpur Model Police Station on September 1 in this incident.
