India and Bangladesh get rights to host the upcoming editions of Men's Asia Cup in 2025 and 2027. The 2025 Asia Cup will be a T20 tournament, while the latter one will be played on ODI format, as the precursors to the respective format's upcoming ICC World Cups.

India won the last edition of Men's Asia Cup in 2023, where the men in blue thumped Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in Colombo. 
India will host the next year's Asia Cup and the tournament will be a T20 one. The country will host the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup and the 2025 Men's Asia Cup will play as the precursor of the ICC mega event.

Since 2016, the tournament first played as a T20 event. Aftermath of that tournament, it has been a rehearsal for the global events.
Bangladesh get the rights to host the 2027 Men's Asia Cup, which will be played on ODI format, due to the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027.

"'Men's Asia Cup Tournament' means the biennial senior men's Cricket tournament organised and administered by the ACC involving designated members, and shall include participation by the teams from Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and one non Test playing Member of ACC selected through the qualifying events," the ACC narrated in its IEOI statement.

India are the reigning champions of the Asia Cup and have won three of last four editions of this regional tournament. Sri Lanka won once in the last four editions, played in the UAE in T20 formats. India thrashed Sri Lanka by 10 wickets to clinch the Asia Cup 2023 in Colombo last year before the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.
