Bangladesh announce squad for first Test against Zimbabwe
Pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib has been called to the Test squad but Taskin Ahmed missd out the squad.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squad for the first Test of the two-match series against Zimbabwe.
Pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib has been called to the Test squad but Taskin Ahmed missd out the squad. Sakib has already played 28 matches for Bangladesh in white-ball cricket but yet to feature in Test cricket.
BCB’s Senior Physician Dr. Debashis Chowdhury said: “Taskin is currently rehabilitating for a left Achilles tendon issue and is not available for the series.”
Veteran Mushfiqur Rahim who retired from ODIs recently is in the squad. Young rising pacer Nahid Rana is also named in the squad. Najmul Hossain Shanto continues to be the captain of the team amid the rumour of his exclusion from captaincy. Mehidy Hasan Miraz is the vice-captain of the team.
The first Test begins at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on 20 April, while the second Test match starts on 28 April at Chattogram’s Bir Shrestha Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium.
