Bangladesh A women thumped the Pakistan A women in a rain irrupting day to book their place for the final of emerging Asia cup. They won the second semifinal by a narrow margin of only 6 runs and booked their place for the final on Tuesday (20 June).

Earlier the day, rain caused a big damage to the occasion and enforced umpires to have nine overs each. Bangladesh A women batted first and were stuttering for 13-5. As Pakistani bowlers were breathing fire bur a late blitz from Nahida Akhter helped Bangladesh have a healthy total after 9 overs. Nahida made a brilliant 21 off 16 at a good strike rate of 131 to post 59 on the board.

Chasing 60 in 9 overs, Pakistan started off to a flier as their openers laid the platform for rest of the batters. Particularly Eyman Fatima made a fine 18 off 15. But after their departure, Pakistan lost the plot and their middle order consumed too much balls to score runs and hence they could manage to score only 53 after 9 overs, which helped Bangladesh win the match by 6 runs to book their ticket for the final of Emerging Asia Cup 2023. Bangladesh will face India in the final which commences from 21 June 2023.
