Controversies are not new for the cricket players and they always find them among many controversies, sometimes among some serious issues too. Some issues even changed the life of the players into a drastic one.
Former Indian left-handed batsman, Gautham Gambhir also found his name among such a controversy, a serious one at the courts level. The former cricketer received a bailable arrest warrant from Delhi Courts regarding a case on a real-estate firm.
The left-handed batsman was the brand ambassador of Rudra Buildwell Reality Pvt. Ltd, which is a real estate group. Mukesh Khurana, who is the director of the firm along with HR Infracity, has been alleged of cheating.
The firm has also been accused of misappropriation of the funds collected from investors. The real estate group had received investments from investors in NCR area for flats.
However, according to the reports, the firm didn't keep the promises they made to the investors and that made a claim on the ambassador of the firm. Earlier the former opener argued that he was just a brand ambassador, which was not enough to convince investors for investing in the projects.
“Conceding the fact that the accused Gautam Gambhir has not been appearing in this case repeatedly. He has not appeared even despite the dismissal of his exemption on the last date of hearing”. Mukesh Khurana, the chief magistrate in the Saket Court mentioned.
