Australia to camp in Darwin pre-Bangladesh tour

Cricket Australia (CA) has confirmed that Australia cricket team will have a camp in Darwin for a week prior to Bangladesh tour for two Tests in August-September. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ বাংলাদেশ সফরের জন্য অস্ট্রেলিয়ার অভিনব কৌশল] The 13-man Aussie squad will have a training-camp at Marrara Cricket Ground starting from August 10. This will include a three-day intra-squad match from August 14. A fast bowler is likely to be added to Australia's squad following Australia A team's South Africa tour. Hilton Cartwright and Ashton Agar, who will be playing the in tour will join the squad in August 12. CA's team performance manager Pat Howard believes that Darwin camp will be a good preparation for Steve Smith and co. as they are working on to make similar conditions as Bangladesh's. "We're extremely grateful to the support received from the Northern Territory Government and NT Cricket for assisting in facilitating this camp ahead of our Test tour of Bangladesh," Howard said. "Darwin will provide the ideal acclimatisation ahead of the tour and the facilities at Marrara Cricket Ground are first-class. "We're working closely with NT Cricket to replicate conditions in Bangladesh, as we did in Dubai for the Indian Test tour earlier this year, so the squad gets the best preparation possible before departing from Darwin directly to Bangladesh." Australia will leave for Bangladesh on August 18. A two-day tour match is scheduled in Fatullah.
