Mumbai Indians have crushed Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets on Monday (March 31) in Wankhede. Four wicket-haul from Ashwani Kumar helped MI bundle KKR out for a measly total of 116 runs. In reply, Ryan Rickelton smashed an unbeaten 62* to chase down the total comfortably.

Ashwani Kumar did most of the damage for Mumbai Indians, picking up a superb four-fer and running riot through the KKR middle order to bundle the tourists out for a paltry 116 runs.Being inserted to bat first, KKR had a horrible start as Trent Boult knocked over the stumps of Sunil Narine for a two-ball duck. While Deepak Chahar removed wicketkeeper batter Quinton de Kock cheaply, then had Venkatesh Iyer as well. Ashwani Kumar got skipper Ajinkya Rahane rid off as KKR were stuttering on 41-4 inside the powerplay.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi survived for a while as he scored 26 off 13 balls, including one six and three boundaries before falling to Hardik Pandya. Ashwani Kumar was deployed in and he ran riot through the KKR middle order as he returned figures with 24-4 and bundled KKR for a paltry total of 116 runs.

In response, Rohit Sharma and wicketkeeper batter Ryan Rickelton started off to a flier.
