Ambris knocks own stumps in consecutive Tests!

Sunil Ambris got in no way near to Denis Compton, with infamous five hit wicket dismissals in career, but stepped twice over his wicket in consecutive Test matches, became the first batsman in the history of cricket to do so. In the first Test of the series between New Zealand and West Indies at the Wellington Basin Reserve, Ambris faced a terrible debut when he deplored his own wicket in the first ball he faced from Kiwi fast bowler Neil Wagner. The phenomenon, therefore, registered as the first incident of hit wicket golden duck in the history of the game. To much horror, the 24 year old right handed batsman from Saint Vincent and Grenadines repeated the incident once again in the second Test at Seddon Park. The batsman looked to turn the delivery of Trent Boult to onside and his right foot went back too far to touch the stumps and the bails knocked off.
