The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that a series with World XI is to be held once the Punjab government would confirm President security to the visiting team. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ শর্ত সাপেক্ষে পাকিস্তান সফরে যাবে বিশ্ব একাদশ] According to reports, a 15-men squad will be announced with qualified performers from around the globe which will be ought to make a practice camp in Dubai and will be taken to Pakistan finally for a T20 series. Andy Flower will coach the squad. Shaharyar Khan, the former chief of PCB along with Giles Clarke of ECB made great contributions to make this series possible. The world XI is to be selected by ECB director Flower. The tour will get full support from International Cricket Council. PCB chairman is working to ensure full security and to make sure that the series will go ahead. Moreover, by bringing Sri Lanka for a T20I match will help them get out of this cage and welcome other teams as well. After the attack on a bus carrying Sri Lankan cricketers in Pakistan on March 2009, only Zimbabwe and Afghanistan has toured Pakistan while the other teams have successively rejected touring the country since then. A short tour by Zimbabwe in 2015 revived international cricket in Pakistan but another bomb blast in a place just 800m from away from the famous Gaddafi stadium in recent times rattled Pakistan's hopes once again to get international cricket back in the country once again.
