Cricket has always been the game of uncertainty. It takes no time for an in form batsman to lose his form all of a sudden. Taking that as a note, left handed batsman Mominul Haque is the recent example of it who is facing ups & downs in his career at the moment. But for him it wasn't enough to hit the headlines. He made even bigger impact when he scored his maiden Test hundred against New Zealand and then another hundred in the 2nd Test of that series. In 2015, Mominul became the 5th batsman in cricket history to score 50 in at least one innings of a Test match in 11 consecutive Test matches. He never got a chance to cement his place in the ODI team but the first name was always Mominul Haque when the topic was about the Test team of Bangladesh. But as the term uncertainty plays it's part in cricket, Mominul Haque's bad patch started in 2017 as he scored only 1 fifty in his last six innings and struggled to play long innings. As a result, he lost his place in the team on their 100th Test occasion, which Bangladesh won against Sri Lanka. And, then it took even a bigger turn when he wasn't called up for the upcoming two match Test series against Australia. The fans were stunned as well as Mominul himself. But some things are destined to happen as Mosaddek Hossain's eye injury made a way for Mominul back to the Test squad again. Proper technique, rock-solid defence, pure classical shots, that's what defines Mominul Haque and that's what Bangladesh was looking for a long long time. Despite of his recent form, he still deserves a place in the starting XI. You just can't throw away a Test material batsman when it’s really hard to find one in Bangladesh. If the Tigers are compared to the top Test nations like Australia, India, South Africa & England, they are the only team where most of the ODI & T20 players plays in the Test team too. They don't have much players for the different forms of Cricket. Opening batsman Tamim Iqbal had very bad times in his career too but he was hardly dropped. Everyone criticized the selectors for giving him chances after chances and now he is the best Bangladeshi batsman & also one of the best opening batsman in the world right now.
