Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has expressed confidence in the longevity of cricketing icons Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, asserting that both players have several years of cricket left in them. Speaking in an exclusive interview, Harbhajan emphasized that Kohli's exceptional fitness and Rohit's form make them invaluable assets to the Indian team, particularly in the red-ball format.

"Rohit can easily play for two more years. You never know with Virat Kohli's fitness—he could be around for five years. He's probably the fittest guy in the team," Harbhajan said, underscoring the 35-year-old's ability to outperform even younger players in terms of fitness.

Harbhajan stressed the importance of Kohli and Rohit continuing to play as long as they are fit and performing well, noting their role in guiding the next generation of cricketers. "In red-ball cricket, you really need these two guys to play a bit longer than what people are asking. Experience is crucial in all formats, and these seasoned players are key to nurturing the upcoming talent," he added.

Harbhajan also touched upon India's recent ODI series loss to Sri Lanka, downplaying the defeat while crediting the Sri Lankan team for their performance. "It was one of those things. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Credit to Sri Lanka—they played better than India," he remarked.

Despite Kohli's recent struggles with form, particularly during the T20 World Cup and the ODI series against Sri Lanka, Harbhajan remains optimistic about his future contributions. Meanwhile, Rohit, who was the highest run-scorer in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, continues to be a cornerstone of the Indian batting lineup.

Harbhajan concluded by acknowledging the natural decline in hunger that comes with years of playing at the highest level but praised the emerging talents like Riyan Parag, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill, who are eager to make their mark on the international stage.
