Matt Henry has cemented his place among New Zealand's finest bowlers by becoming one of the fastest Kiwis to reach 100 Test wickets.

1. Richard Hadlee - 25 Matches

The legendary Richard Hadlee takes pride in the fact for holding the record for the fastest New Zealand bowler to 100 Test wickets. Notably, he achieved the fear in just 25 matches.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers in cricket history, Hadlee's mastery over swing and seam, combined with his relentless accuracy, made him a nightmare for batters during the heydays of his cricketing venture.

2. Neil Wagner - 26 Matches

Neil Wagner, who is known for his relentless aggression and short-pitched bowling comes second on the list as he took 26 matches to reach the landmark. He has been one of the pivotal fast bowlers for New Zealand on multiple occasions, especially in challenging conditions.

The 38-year-old who announced his retirement from international cricket in late February, has taken 260 wickets in 64 Tests including 9 five-wicket hauls.

3. Matt Henry - 26 Matches

Matt Henry reached the 100-wicket milestone in his 26th Test and thus equalled Neil Wagner's record for the second-fastest New Zealand bowler to achieve the feat.

4. Bruce Taylor - 27 Matches

Bruce Taylor, a versatile all-rounder who represented the New Zealand cricket team in the 1960s and early 1970s, reached 100 Test wickets in 27 games.

Known for his pace and swing, he was a key asset of New Zealand’s bowling attack during his era. Apart from his bowling, he operated hard-hitting lower-order batsman. He took 111 wickets in 30 games including 4 five-wicket hauls. On the contrary, he scored 898 runs, including 2 centuries and 2 fifties.
