Dutch triplet brothers have created history playing professional cricket together in the team; they became the first ever triplets to play in the same professional team when the Netherlands faced United Arab Emirates in Amstelveen.
Dutchmen Sikander Zulfiqar, Asad Zulfiqar and Saqib Zulfiqar, the three 20 year old have played for the Netherlands. Although they lost the match to UAE by 3 wickets, the triplets, being played together created headlines.
The boys’ father Zulfiqar Ahmed also played for the Netherlands. Debutants Asad and Saqib scored 15 and 11 respectively while the more experienced Sikander made 41 not out batting at number eight position.
The Netherlands scored 182 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, UAE chased down the total with six balls to spare.
