Bangladesh was in Group ‘C’ of the Under-19 World Cup, 2018 from where they took the quarter final as group runner up with two wins. In the first match of the group, Bangladesh captured a huge 87 runs win against Namibia in the match curtailed to 20 overs due to rain. The Tigers were dislodged by the English team from the winning streak. Bangladesh lost all their wickets at the score of 175 runs and England Under-19 team raced passed the target losing only 3 wickets. On the other end, India Under-19 team were up into the quarter final of the tournament by being group champions. They had registered wins in all three group matches against Australia, Papua New Guinea and Zimbabwe respectively. India Under-19 team dodged strong Australia Under-19 team by an extensive margin of 100 runs in their opening group match. Australia Under-19 reached only in 228 in reply to India Under-19 team’s monumental total of 329 runs. The neighboring nation comprised an even bigger win against Papua New Guinea. Papua New Guinea was bundled out scoring 64 runs leaving Indian youths with a 10 wicket victory. India Under-19 team also thrashed Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in their last group match.
