Xavier Bartlett gets permission from CA to play in Vitality Blast
Prior to his No Objection Certificate being rejected on the eve of the season, the 25-year-old bowler was supposed to be eligible for five of Kent's first seven County Championship games and six of their first eight T20 Blast matches.

Weeks after Cricket Australia (CA) barred the fast bowler from representing them in the County Championship, Xavier Bartlett will play for Kent in the Vitality Blast.
Prior to his No Objection Certificate being rejected on the eve of the season, the 25-year-old bowler was supposed to be eligible for five of Kent's first seven County Championship games and six of their first eight T20 Blast matches.
On the eve of the season, however, only one week after awarding the 25-year-old a key contract, CA rejected him a No Objection Certificate.
However, CA has since given up and let Bartlett to play with Kent for their first eight matches in the short-form competition. He will team up with Wes Agar, who is now in his second stint with the county and has previously played for Steve Waugh, Terry Alderman, and Marcus Stoinis.
"We've been working extremely hard with Cricket Australia to ensure that Xavier can join us in some capacity this season, and we're really pleased to have secured his services for eight matches of our T20 campaign.
"He is hot property at the moment and fully deserves his new central contract with Australia. I know that Spitfires supporters around the world will be extremely excited that the BBL's top wicket-taker this Winter will be pulling on a Kent shirt this June,” Simon Cook, director of cricket at Kent, stated in a statement issued on Tuesday.
