Bangladesh women's team captain Nigar Sultana Joty spoke after yet another defeat against India Women's team. Bangladesh lost the match by 21 runs in pursuit of the 156/5 posted by India in their quota of 20 overs.
Batting has been quite tragic throughout the series for Bangladesh. Despite a late fightback from Ritu Moni and Shorifa Khatun, all Bangladesh could manage was 135/6, which is also the highest for the Tigress in this series.
Joty said, "We have seen a tough time this series, but today it was a better approach by the batters. Batting is the area we need to work on. We need to work on our approach and intent in batting, like some batters settle down and then get out. Rabeya and Nahida are the bowlers doing really well, Marufa did well throughout the series. And Ritu showed us today how to bat."
Bangladesh will be hosting the upcoming T20 World Cup for Womens. However, they currently are in a horrendous streak, where they lost 8 consecutive T20is, five against India and three against Australia.
With the all important World Cup looming, Nigar Sultana and her army of Tigress will be looking to turn things around as soon as they can.
