Rishabh Pant produced another electrifying moment with the bat on Day 4 of the first Test between India and New Zealand at Bengaluru. The Indian wicketkeeper-batter smashed a huge six off New Zealand pacer Tim Southee, leaving both Glenn Phillips and KL Rahul stunned. Pant's explosive batting once again brought the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to life.
Walking in at No. 5, Pant wasted no time in launching his trademark attacking innings. He sent Southee’s delivery sailing over the boundary ropes during the third ball of the 87th over in India's second innings. The delivery, bowled just outside the off-stump, was met with a clean strike from Pant, who sent the ball soaring outside the stadium. The crowd erupted in cheers as the left-hander’s shot reverberated throughout the stadium.
While New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips stood in shock with his mouth agape, KL Rahul, at the non-striker's end, could only smile in amazement at Pant’s ability to clear the boundary so effortlessly.
