Rajasthan Royals pacer Jofra Archer lit up the Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday with a jaw-dropping delivery that sent Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill packing. In a fiery display of pace and precision, Archer bowled a 147.7 kmph ripper that clean bowled Gill in the third over of the innings during Match 23 of IPL 2025.

The drama unfolded in the first delivery of the third over. Archer steamed in and delivered a ball that pitched just outside off. Gill looking to play a flashy drive with little foot movement was completely deceived as the ball nipped back sharply sneaking through the gap between bat and pad. 

In a blink the stumps were shattered off-stump cartwheeling marking a sensational moment in the match.

Gill could only manage 7 runs off 3 balls and his early dismissal put Gujarat Titans under pressure right from the start.

This wasn’t the first time Archer has gotten the better of GT and Indian national cricket team batter Gill. In fact the English speedster has now dismissed the Gujarat skipper three times in IPL history conceding only 10 runs in 15 deliveries bowled to him.

Gill entered the match in fine form having registered scores of 14, 33, 38, and an unbeaten 61 in his last four IPL outings. However Archer’s brute pace and accuracy proved too hot to handle on Wednesday cutting short what could have been another vital innings for the Titans.
