Corey Anderson left New Zealand with dreams of playing for the US national team. He qualified for the United States national team this year by fulfilling all the conditions. But the USA national team did not keep him in the World Cup qualifying squad.

The former Kiwi all-rounder has been in the country since 2020 to play for the USA national team. The 32-year-old Anderson dreamed of being called up to the team in 2023. There is also a big occasion for the USA this year, the ODI World Cup qualifiers. But USA did not call an experienced all-rounder like Anderson in the squad for that tournament.
Incidentally, the World Cup qualifiers will start on June 18. A total of 10 teams will be divided into two groups. West Indies, Netherlands, Zimbabwe, and Nepal are the USA's opponents in Group A. In Group B, there are Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Oman, and United Arab Emirates. After the group stage, the best three teams from the two groups will play Super Six.
