Travis Head has been named as the Australian male cricketer of the year to claim the Allan Border Medal. Travis Head got 50 more votes than Josh Hazlewood to claim the ultimate prize of the Australian Cricket Awards.

Travis Head Travis Head won the Australia's ODI player of the year and he was only four votes and three votes short from taking the Test and T20I player of the year, which were taken by Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa.

Travis Head hammered four hundreds in the 2024, whereas the other Australian batters managed to get five hundreds in that phase. He started the year, blazing a 119 against the West Indies at the Adelaide Oval and continued the red hot form with a blistering 154* off only 129 deliveries in an ODI at the Trent Bridge against England.

He then went onto smashing back-to-back hundreds in the high octane Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India to help the Aussies regain the Trophy for the first time in a decade.

Head had a standout campaign in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies, where he was Australia's best performed batter with 255 runs at 42.50 and a strike rate of 158.
