Abahani Limited thrashed Rupganj Tigers by 140 runs on Wednesday (27th March). Towhid Hridoy's blistering century and Jaker Ali Anik's fifty drove Abahani to 320. In reply, Mosaddek, Nahidul's brilliant bowling wrapped up Rupganj Tigers' innings for measly 180 runs.

Opting to bat first, the opening stand laid by Anamul Haque Bijoy and Naim Sheikh added 46 runs. Afif Hossain couldn't get going as he managed to score only 7 runs under his belt. But Jaker Ali and Towhid Hridoy had a massive partnership for 4th wicket.
Both of them notched up their fifties in the passage of play. Jaker Ali was gone on his 78 to Abu Hashim and he broke the partnership of 140 runs with Towhid Hridoy. Jaker Ali played a gorgeous knock of 78 from 95 balls with smashing 3 fours and 5 sixes.
Towhid Hridoy kept going flawlessly. He raced his way to 125 off just 84 balls with 11 boundaries and 6 monstrous blows. Abahani Limited ended their innings on 320.
In reply, Rupganj Tigers' opener Abdullah Mamun was bowled as Taskin Ahmed knocked him over. Barring Shamshur Rahman's lone 39, no one really stood tall for Rupganj as wickets were tumbling at the other ends regularly. Mosaddek Hossain bowled a great spell with conceding just 3 runs and picked up 3 wickets, while Nahidul Islam also had 3 wickets and wrapped up Rupganj Tigers's innings for 180 and handed Abahani a massive 140 run victory.
