Towhid Hridoy gets admission at Dhaka University

This year, Towhid Hridoy's outstanding performance in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) captured the attention of everyone. Then he earned a spot on the national team. He was no longer required to glance back after that. By consistently contributing to the team's success, he has emerged as a vital member. In the meantime, Hridoy enrolled in higher education. He has been admitted to the public administration department of Dhaka University, the oldest university in Bangladesh.
Hridoy is having a great time playing field cricket. This cricketer made his name known by scoring two fifties in the Asia Cup. Among them, one was the match-winning fifty against India. After the Asia Cup mission, Hridoy is currently on vacation after returning home. This middle-order batter is happy to be admitted to Dhaka University. Hridoy also asked for prayers from everyone.
In order to improve the quality of sports at Dhaka University, to produce quality players, and to produce skilled athletes to participate in national and international level sports competitions, the university authorities decided to admit students in the undergraduate program under the player quota in July last year. The authorities then said that an expert committee would directly screen the candidates through viva and practical tests and recommend admissions.
Admission-seeking candidates must be current players of the national team. Apart from this, candidates should have experience participating in national or international competitions as a member of the national team, national 'A' team, and age-wise under 23, 20, 19, 17, or 16 teams within the last three years.
Candidates with a national ranking between 1 to 5 in various sports competitions including Athletics, Badminton, Table Tennis, Swimming, Tennis, Chess, and Carrom can also apply for admission. Admission-seeking candidates should be below 23 years of age on the last date of application and should have minimum educational qualification of respective unit-wise admission in Dhaka University.
All the players have the opportunity to get admission through the Arts, Law, and Social Science Unit of Dhaka University. A total of 49 players including Hridoy have been selected for admission. These things have been said in the notification published on the university's website yesterday.
However, Hridoy's field engagement is starting again with the New Zealand series. This middle-order batter will join the team on the 19th. Bangladesh will practice on the 20th and enter the field the very next day.
On September 21st, 23rd, and 26th, the Bangladesh team will take on New Zealand in a three ODI series at the home of cricket, Mirpur. After that, the Tigers will begin their World Cup engagement.
